My little girl @lifewithaliya has reached her first big scholastic milestone (unexpectedly!) by graduating not only preschool, but kindergarten as well 🎓🙌🏽 She worked so hard for this moment, throughout the pandemic and over summer school, and I am so proud of her 🥹 Bring it on #FirstGrade, we are sooooo ready for you! #preschoolgraduation #kindergartengraduation #montessorischool #5yearsold Ps: I'm fully aware of the pros and cons of having a young child skip a grade, and as her parents we do know what's best for her. We also spoke with her private tutor/ pandemic teacher and her Montessori principal who both insisted she needs to be in 1st grade as we got to try out 2 months of kindergarten during summer school and it just wasn't challenging enough for her, so she was given 1st and 2nd grade work throughout her time there. Socially, she is totally a little teenager (lol) and physically she's on the taller side (compared to other 5 year olds) so we have no doubts that she'll fit right in!
