Most of you have already become WELL acquainted with Finlay Donovan since her release in 2021, but I’ve been laying low for the past year, and I thought I would start posting again with a BANG. ...And maybe a few murder puns. For those not in the know about this smash hit(woman) murder series, Finlay Donovan isn’t killing it at work or at home. Yet. Finlay is a stressed-out mom of two with a shrinking bank account due to her spiraling career as a penny paperback murder mystery writer. In a meeting with her agent at a bakery, (and in one of the most fun-to-read scenes I have ever read in a thriller) Finlay is complaining about the carnage in her life when an eavesdropping stranger mistakes her for a hitman. Now with a new offer on the table that is sure to pay well, will her experience in fictional crime truly pay off in the end? I LOVED this book so much! Finlay Donovan is a take-no-prisoners’ kind of woman who despite her flaws, is completely lovable. I really enjoyed stumbling along with Finlay as she hilariously fell face first into her problems.
