When Nicola and I initially discussed scheduling her bridal trial, one of the first things she mentioned was that she was a “mature bride” and she doesn’t usually wear makeup. As I feel with all my brides, I felt the pressure to alleviate all her fears and assure her that I would do everything in my power to make sure she looks and feels natural, beautiful and herself. At her bridal trial, we talked about her expectations for hair and makeup and how she felt about everything. She was nervous, I was nervous but when a bride to be places her trust in me, I take it to heart. I don’t cry very often but when Nicola turned around and was finally able to see what I could see, we were both overwhelmed and shared tears together.
