5 things your doctor should never tell you are normal: 1. They should never tell you that your thyroid looks okay just by reading your TSH (Thyroid stimulating hormones) levels, make sure to ask for antibodies, T3, T4 and the entire thyroid panel to really know what’s going on. 2. Achy muscles or joints are just a result of old age. I feel better now than I did in my 40s and 50s and that’s because I know that aches and pains mean something. They usually mean inflammation that hasn’t been treated. 3. When they say that the best solution for irregular periods is to go on the pill and there’s nothing you can do about it. There’s actually so much you can do about it instead of just medicating. 4. Brain fog is normal and it’s just your age or there’s nothing to worry about unless it gets severe. That’s totally untrue - there’s so much you can do around brain fog and cognitive decline. It has to do with diet, anti-inflammation, and Nootropics (I love Nootropics!) 5. Your symptoms are in your head and there’s nothing wrong with you. Your symptoms are real, they mean something, and they need to be addressed!
