Happy International Women’s Day to the hardest working, best conditioned, strongest, most passionate, professional, confident, empowered SISTERHOOD out there 🏀 🔥 ❤️‍🔥 When the Miami HEAT Dancers reunion was officially over, I did my best to keep it together until I got in the car, and then ugly cried the whole way home. In my experience as a woman living in the US, it’s easy to get lost in the minutiae of the day-to-day and lose sight of how valuable SISTERHOOD truly is towards leading a fulfilling life. I can’t explain how unique it is to walk into a room full of 100+ encouraging women who all share that same indescribable intangible fire inside them; that brought them to that room in the first place. It was as if no time had passed since we last stepped on the court and I had just gained 100+ more teammates, all there to get the same job done. Having the opportunity to dance with my former teammates, women I’ve had the pleasure to meet and dance with in the industry, dancers I look up to, women who paved the way for me, plus dancing with the current team, was priceless, unforgettable, and once-in-a lifetime. Thank you for being brave and putting this altogether 🙏🏼 To the dream team trio, you know who you are, you continue to inspire me more than you realize. I carry all the tools you gave me out in the world every single day, and do my best to use your examples of leadership as my continual guides. Coming home, seeing all the familiar faces, is always such an amazing reminder of where I came from, who I am, and who I am pushing to become. Shoutout to the amazing MEN behind the HEAT Dancers! You are the few who truly get it! Instead of being afraid and dampening the fire inside of each of us, you’re encouraging it to burn brighter!
