After a tweet made by Heather Ringo went viral, she was able to reunite with her former Big Sister, Nancy Frumkes. Heather told The Mercury News that Nancy “treated me like I had potential...like I was worthy of love and kindness” and after 21 years apart, they met under Heather’s father’s memorial magnolia — “It felt poetic, since in 2001, while he was dying from ALS, my dad kept encouraging me to spend time with my Big Sister, “nice Nancy” (@FeralHeather on Twitter).
