How do you take your coffee? ☕️
Over the years I’ve learned less is more for my coffee.
For years I was adding sugary creamers filled with vegetable oil, then getting an afternoon vanilla latte loaded with excess sugar, calories, and flavoring.
There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with a latte or creamers, but what was happening went against my health goals and mental health needs.
Waking up with a cup of coffee loaded with sugar and seed oils set me up for the glucose roller coaster. Also known as the energy rollercoaster that leads to hangry, moodiness, foggy brain, and more!
Add a breakfast sandwich or pastrie and my day was shot before it even began.
Glucose balance benefits everyone, it helps balance your hormones, which really regulate your hunger cues, mental clarity, and fertility.
To get the most out of my coffee, I use minimal amount of monk fruit (4 drops), and 1 tablespoon of heavy cream.
All the caffeine benefits without the crash, which often leads to craving more sugary drinks.
My tip is to slowly ween yourself off the sugary coffee drinks or understand they are more of a dessert in most cases. Even the sugar free options are loaded with simple carbohydrates which can dis-regulate your glucose response. Over time this can wreck havoc on your body.
