Day 22 of #secondhandseptember and this coveted Chanel Breton which is as rare as hen’s teeth and after over 10 years of ownership still remains one of my favourite things. It was sent out to all of the important fashion people for Christmas in 2008, I wasn’t one of them. My boss at the time was. She loved and wore it religiously until her nanny shrunk it in the wash (she’s due for release in 2036) and so it was handed down to me. Obviously this one is like a turbo luxe version of a classic Breton but any vintage ones are good as they’re often made with amazing fabric and the cut is boxy and classic. They also go with e v e r y t h i n g. I love the fail safe combo of a French tuck in to my old blue Levi’s with a blazer and a nonchalant attitude.
