To cherishing the Heart Fillers—like the grounding, powerful magic of Red Rocks, the meditation of a sunrise. To cherishing friendship, especially in moments of walking each other through the tender parts. To cherishing ritual, the wisdom of the Earth, the felt sense of being so small in all of the right ways. Met two of my favorite humans this morning to watch the sunrise in honor of Jill’s mom Bernie on the one-year anniversary of her passing, to create new traditions in honor of her life. The only time I have ever been to Red Rocks at sunrise is for Drumming up the Sun on the Winter Solstice. There was a tour bus there, there were deer everywhere, there were people power washing the front rows, there were people doing workouts that made me feel like I had monster abs just by watching them. And then there was the three of us and our altar and Jill’s stories and that glorious horizon, and it was perfect. ✨
