Luc’s image and bio (c. 1980s) courtesy of David Earle. • • MICHAEL CALDWELL is a Toronto-based choreographer, performer, curator, director, producer, and arts advocate. He has performed/collaborated with over 50 of Canada's esteemed performance creators/companies, performing across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, earning two (2) Dora Mavor Moore Awards for outstanding performance in dance. His choreography has been commissioned/presented throughout Canada at major festivals, in traditional venues and in site-responsive and community-engaged contexts. He has a BA in film/art history from Syracuse University and trained at The School of Toronto Dance Theatre. • • • • • After studies in engineering and music at the Université Laval, LUC TREMBLAY began training at the Académie of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens in Quebec City. After an apprenticeship year with Dansepartout, he danced and toured with that company and choreographed two dances for their choreographic workshop, including a duet with Lucie Boissinot. He took part in the American Dance Festival in 1979, and the following year participated in the National Choreographic Seminar. He joined the Toronto Dance Theatre as an apprentice in the fall of 1981, and became a full member a year later.
