Am so pleased to be making a book with painter and dear friend, Charlie Gosling. Over the last few months we have been inviting strangers to Charlie’s studio to sit to be photographed. Which Charlie then draws. Depending on what he feels is symbolic and of truth to the person. I then have a honest conversation with the person about themselves and what is leading them. Whilst I talk with them I write a poem which aims to describe their character and what informs it and who they find themselves to be. My challenge is to arrange each poem differently and to honour the detail of each persons leading emotion, their rational towards life and the happenings that make for the upshot of their person and why they choose to function, if so and how - Each individual so far has been sincere & specific & beautifully distinct. We are learning a lot . More to be revealed . Exhibition to come too. X
