Kenya. My biggest struggle with this trip is knowing no matter how much detail I give, I’ll never be able to fully explain God’s impact. Yet I know God will allow the words of my team and I to still be enough. My biggest goal coming home is to have more generosity. We often know how lucky we are to live in America, but I don’t think I fully grasped the concept of how lucky I am until I went to Kenya. These kids would receive food with a smile that resembled Christmas. We brought a soccer ball and they would play for hours. The danced and sang for Jesus as if they had everything they ever wanted. I hope me, and the rest of my generation, can come to understand generosity through experiences like these ones. And I also pray we can learn to have such Joy with way less in our life. Thank you Kenya and thank you Jesus. 2 Corinthians 9:6.
