Celebrating Women’s Equality Day In 1920 women in the US finally gained the right to vote. We have made a lot of progress during the last 100 years but there is still a TON of work ahead of us to reach equality for all. Women represent about 28% of the STEM workforce, 10% of construction professionals and only 2-3% of the skilled trades. It is difficult enough for us to fit into male centric work environments, and having poorly fitting PPE designed for men is just an unnecessary barrier.
