Our October Newsletter celebrates Chicago. Many of you have ties to the city and this building. We’d love to hear your stories.
Aric Lasher and Bert Green live at 860/880 Lake Shore Drive, the iconic steel and glass towers designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, who also designed Villa Tugendhat, which was featured in August. Completed in 1951, the International Style “Glass House” apartments are not fully open plan, but built with as few walls as possible, they allow for flexible solutions with floor to ceiling windows, a sense of sweeping movement, ever changing light, and panoramic views of Lake Michigan. Aric and Bert have filled this apartment with exquisite furnishings and art, making this an extra special place to be and live in.
