#toxicrelationships are like the gift that just keep onnnn giiiivinggg ammmiright?! 😩😵‍💫😬 All jokes aside, sharing this because I get a lot of you asking me how I got through/past/over the #toxicrelationship I was in and the truth is I’m still a work in progress. I have done TONS of work and many years have passed since I got out, but it is still something I’m actively working on and you know what? That’s okay. #healing isn’t linear, and on my #healingjourney I’ve learned that there is no quick fix or one right way to transcend the #heartbreak or #trauma - just when I think I’ve gotten past it all a new layer reveals itself that begs to be healed. So while I don’t have all the answers what I will say is this: be gentle with yourself, have some #selfcompassion and instead of beating yourself up when you recognize you’re still effected by it let yourself be grateful for the AWARENESS of those parts of you that still may require a little extra attention... because without awareness there is no possibility of change 💗 #dvsurvivor #traumahealing #toxicrelationshipsurvivor
