HUMEN Talk: "At the age of just ten years old, anxiety and depression began to take over my life. Eating, sleeping, and leaving the house went from everyday activities to full-blown battles. Outside of my home, the walls seemed to slowly close in around me by the minute. It wasn't until a suicide attempt at the age of twelve that I began to realize that this wasn't just sadness, a ploy for attention, or just a lot of bad days; it was a disease that I had to overcome before it cost me my life. Slowly, with the support of family, friends, and doctors, I began to regain control of my life.
