Here’s my full review of Ice Cross my Heart!! I received this book as an ARC and I have never read anything by this author before but I can say that Ice Cross My Heart was such a refreshing sports romance and honestly a lovely surprise. I’ve read a lot of hockey romances, but this one felt different but in the best way. She also has her own sport, ice cross, which I really appreciated. It was great seeing the FMC, Ivy, with her own passion and drive for her own sport and given a change in her personal relationship doesn’t push her dreams to the side. The MMC, Teddy, was another standout for me where after his accident, he’s emotionally open and vulnerable, which is so refreshing for a sports romance. Seeing him actually talk about his feelings added a lot of depth to his character. I loved that he falls for her voice and who she is before ever seeing her. That emotional connection first really made their relationship feel special. The flirty banter between them was fun and natural, and their chemistry built really well, especially with the forced proximity and slightly forbidden element of Ivy being his nurse. Overall, this book felt soft, emotional, and different from the usual hockey romance and I absolutely loved it, I am so excited to read more by this author.
