Today we want to wish our founder, Robert Redford, a happy 86th birthday!! In 1981, Bob’s incredible vision of creating a space for independent storytellers from a wide range of lived experiences and backgrounds to flourish and hone their craft led to the creation of the #Sundance Institute. Today, 41 years later, his vision has helped bring to life thousands of projects from filmmakers, storytellers, and new media artists from around the world, and his work as an artist, a mentor, and an activist continues to shape not only the legacy and future of the Institute, but the landscape of arts and culture overall.
