First time pinning on a bib since April 2021 😭 It’s been up and down with various injuries since then. Fracturing my fibula earlier this year was a major setback and really delayed my training. Truthfully, this was an extremely short training build and risky coming back so soon from injury. I wasn’t ready to push this far, so I went into today’s 6 hour race with low expectations and an open mind. I’m so happy with how it went overall! 30.45 miles in just under 6 hrs with 4,100 ft gain💪🏼 Way longer than I expected. Was it pain free? Sadly, no. I still have to figure out what’s going on. Anyone with pubic symphysis pain or osteitis pubis experience please help! 🙏🏼 But really, the biggest take away from today is that I can still do hard things.
