Am I really about to say this? I can’t believe I’m saying this.. 🙊 Well let’s be honest, I can. Even though it took a few weeks for what I am about to share to settle in and for me to be at peace with it. Affective, as of NOW. I will no longer be offering any color services. I will only be offering haircuts a few days a month in LA. Dates and availability will be posted on my stories. I’m currently working on my health and well-being after developing an auto-immune disease a few years ago. This has been pretty taxing on my health, so now I am taking the initiative to remove any products that could be contributing to this. I was becoming sensitive and allergic to a lot of hair colors and beauty products. There are a lot of chemicals that we come in contact with every day at the salon, especially when using hair color, they can have some severe effects on our bodies. Color services, the use of chemicals, and the way we dispose of them just didn’t align with my overall vision for my health and our environment. To all my beautiful clients, I will miss all my days with you that were filled with belly laughs and great stories. I was so lucky in this industry to work with some remarkable people! Thank you for trusting me with your beauty needs and everything else. My time with you was priceless and made this decision even harder to make. After extended research, there are still great products out there that you can use, but do your research. I can only advise you to research and be mindful of what you put in and on your body and what you buy for yourself and your loved ones. If you don’t know where to start, the app “yuka” “think dirty” and “EWG” are great resources where you can scan almost any product right on the spot and learn what’s in it. You would be shocked when “clean products” are just marketing and sometimes worse. I wanted to keep this light and happy and be honest with all my beauty lovers.
