Hip Hop has lost another legend. Coolio aka Artis Leon Ivey Jr. Has passed away today at the age of 59. He is remember by friends, family and the planet as a Hip Hop legend. We mourn his passing as another icon is taken from the culture. Although many people remember him for his pop records he’s actually from the age of pioneers. He started making records in 1987 made records with Nu-Skool in ‘88 and would join WC and the mad circle in 1991. He burst onto the scene with a very popular record in 1994. Most people know him for his later works and movie soundtrack hits which doesn’t begin to capture the scope of an artist who dedicated their life to Hip Hop. I remember listening to this record as a little kid. The radio cuts and the wild crazy album cuts. He has charisma and flow. He was a very talented person. I wasn’t close to him but many of my good friends are and I send my condolences to his friends and his family at this time. Rest in Power Brother Coolio. #Coolio #RestinPower #HipHop
