as we find ourselves in Q4 I wanted to share some of my tips & tricks to handle burnout, overwhelm, and stress as a creative or anyone who just needs a lil life organization motivation! . First – brain dump your to-do list at the beginning of the week! I used to wake up every morning and just look at my calendar and then think about what i could get done that day and *spoiler alert* that doesn’t work lol. NOW I take the time every single sunday and brain dump my to-do’s for the week. i split them into personal and work related to-do’s and then break them down by each day as they come. no more wondering “what IS one my to-do list??” . Second – DND is your ultimate weapon! i’ve recently been utilizing the DND options on iphone like work, focus, etc. and they’ve been really life changing! my “work” DND only allows notifications from my slack and my emails and nothing else. I only go in and check my other notifications once the task i’m working on is DONE! . Third – Time blocks are everything, ok? I'm not a big fan of task switching & it takes me FOREVER to refocus if I jump back and forth from things. So instead, I time block! In the mornings I give myself 30 minutes to organize my to-do list for the day, check emails, etc. Later in the day I might give myself 45 minutes to batch schedule instagram photos. Having this type of routine in place also allows me not dwell on things too long & get caught up in imposter syndrome . Fourth – Delegate where you can! My team helps me out SO much & allows me to focus on exactly what I need to every single day. So if you have a boyfriend, girlfriend, spouse, friend, or actual employee... utilize it! Even having small things like meal services so you don't have to think about what to cook for lunch REALLY helps you be way more productive & organized .
