At the recent Queens world film festival 2025, I was asked a soul stirring question and I had to speak my truth, coz if not now then when?! Do we truly ever feel at “home” to be at ease, to be able to really feel how we truly feel, to feel safe in expressing that which we feel, to fully be able to be as we are? What is home? Is it a safe space or is it a feeling or it is a construct to keep us going, to equip us to face all that we need to face outside of it and be who we need to be and to discover who we truly are within and without a home or a feeling of home?! I question this a lot and it takes me to many dimensions. This question hit ‘home’ and I cannot fully explain this feeling in words, but you know if you know.
