Once upon a time there was a new baby girl, a Virgo. She insisted on driving vintage cars without a license. At times one might say she could be imperious, even regal. Most of the time, however, she was intensely sweet and extremely shy, the shyest girl in her group of friends. She grew up from the furthest points North in chilly Michigan to the Deep South in places where the nearest neighbors were a mile away up a country road, and where she went fishing for bass in the pond in her front yard. She had lots of crayons and papers and paint, so her mom showed her how to make a relief print of that big fish she caught on a huge piece of paper. Sometimes paint would get on the carpet and her mom would say “Let’s try to clean it off but if we can’t it’s not the worst thing in the world, it’s more important that you made this beautiful piece of art”. Her friends had interesting lives - one had a piece of art on her living room wall made by her MawMaw of braided brightly colored plastic bread bags, and it was exquisite. The other one’s PawPaw had a farm next door to our back yard and when Kristen went in the pool, one of the steers - a big reddish brown one she called Big Red - would come right up against the wire fence 100 feet away and he’d mooooo. “Kroooooosten,” he’d always call. One day at school that friend said her Daddy had to go to the hospital and when the teacher asked why she said he was choking on something he ate. When the teacher asked what he’d been eating she said “Woodchuck”. One day Kristen went to the City, and she saw things. People dressed in amazing clothes walking along the boulevards, and so many exciting things created by those people. She had to get through a time of truly small minded bullies in the next place she lived in high school but then she transported herself to that fabulous place, NYC. This baby girl born that 30 years ago is still in NYC and doing well. My baby girl is 30 years old and I’m always amazed by her. My love 💕💕💕 to her 4evah! 🐥🥰
