Virtual art is in, especially since Corona and closed galleries. A special treat awaits all art lovers and QUALITY Magazine in London, which should also delight technology fans. On December 8th, the time had finally come: @acuteart and Dazed Media were able to open London's largest public festival for AR art "Unreal City" with 36 sculptures, which were arranged as a tour along the Thames until January 5th, 2021. ⁣🎨⁣📱⁣🇬🇧⠀ ⠀ ⠀ The sculptures created to be experienced in Augmented Reality (AR) using Apple's ARKit, are arranged across 24 sites between Waterloo Bridge and Millenium Bridge on the South Bank by leading artists from all over the world including Nina Chanel Abney (@ninachanel), ⁣Ólafur Elíasson (@studioolafureliasson), Cao Fei (@cao_fei), Alicja Kwade (@alicjakwade), Koo Jeong A (@koojeonga), Marco Brambilla (@marcobrambillastudio) alongside new and never-seen-before works by Darren Bader (@mined_oud), KAWS (@kaws), Bjarne Melgaard and Tomás Saraceno (@studiotomassaraceno). To view the exhibition guests are invited to download the free Acute Art app on their iPhone, iPad or Android through which they can download the map and view the works.
