Alsooo just finished up the second trip for my climate change, infrared series ‘UNEARTH’. The series will be created from one photo from each of the seven continents to show anthropogenic CC. Shot the first one in Alaska a while back and getting around to all the rest now. The orange in the iPhone photo comes from a filter for the infrared film (Aerochrome) which has been out of production for 11 years now. The film when cross processed renders the chlorophyll in plants red, which is used in this series to show these scenic landscapes normal landscapes to the human eye as damaged almost bloody scenes of nature to bring attention to continual harm on them from CC. The urgency of shooting such a limited and fragile film stock also mirrors the urgency for action and awareness to CC. Going to take a while for the series to be completed but figured I would start to share some process for current projects. I’ve had to source my film stockpile from multiple sources around the world and I am unsure the film even works as it needed to have been properly stored the last 10 years. I brought one roll from four different sources on this expedition, fingers crossed they’re alright
