Life is full of cycles; falling in and out of love, feeling up and down, being born and dying, feeling like you’ll never learn something and passing the test. The uncertainty of life touches us all and challenges our paths almost daily. Van Gogh said “Normality is a paved road. It’s comfortable to walk on, but there are no flowers there.” I guess something I’m learning right now is that every experience, every emotion, and even every really difficult challenge is a form of flower attempting to blossom along our path and show us something new about ourself. Not every flower is perfect, so I suppose how we choose to see and interpret each moment determines the power each experience has to impact our life, positively or negatively. Right now I am trying to see every blossom as beautiful, an opportunity to learn and grow. To anyone out there who is struggling on their path, please know you are not alone. We are all fighting demons of our past and present and there is someone out there who loves and supports you- don’t be afraid to lean into that or seek professional help (something I’m doing as we speak). May we all start to recognize the various blossoms in our lives as opportunity rather than an obstacle.
