I often think about what my role is in this world and what I’d like to do with my time here. I want to do so much. I’m not bound to cooking although it’s something that gives me immense joy. It’s so much bigger than that. I know deep down in my core I’m here to create meaningful connections and bring people together. Not sure how that will manifest in my life but I feel it’s in the right direction and I feel it deep in my soul. To do so, you have to expand your horizons. This also means embracing your vulnerability. Social media is something that I’m navigating as a culinary artist, using this tool properly to present myself in my most authentic way and not what others expect of me. I forget that I’m silly and shouldn’t take things so seriously! It’s very easy to get caught up in everyone else’s success besides yours. Things take time. Take your time. Enjoy your ride. No one is you and no one will ever be you. The older I get the more I feel like I’m in a perpetual state of awe and gratitude. Any time I’m in my head, an event happens where it brings me back to my purpose. It reminds me of how badass I am. How much I fucking got it. The solid people behind me from the love and support I reciprocate. I could never do it alone. There are no accidents. You never know when your detour will lead you to your destiny.
