The process of bringing this specific photo to life make this photo that much special to me. When @diddy and I talked about the narrative of the Love Era, what his next journey is and who he’s become, he told me “Love is the dark and the light! I want to feel like 2022 Love”. Along the way of ideating and building the concepts, I came across “Nude Spotlight” by Kerry James Marshall. It was, I kid you not, a sorrel moment. I had envisioned this image in my head. I was familiar with Kerry James Marshalls work but had not seen the painting. The painting spoke to me. Always a pleasure to pay homage to black art and black stillness.
