On the left is 25 year old me. I had just started PA school and was living in my grandparent’s pool house. I was so excited about my future. I was learning medicine, discovering myself, and making lifelong friends. However, I was stressed and studying endlessly. I was also in a very unhealthy relationship, hundreds of thousands of dollars in student debt, and full of fear and self doubt. 33 year old me is on the right. A certified PA-C with my dream job. Student loans paid off. Homeowner. Married to the love of my life with two loving puppies. Mentor. Teacher. Instablogger. I’m strong and confident. I even inspire and guide young pre-health professionals to follow their dreams. My life isn’t perfect and there are still many more goals I want to accomplish, but this is a reminder that you can have your dream life. Keep pushing. Keep smiling through the hard times. Just keep going. If you are feeling lost, uninspired, or like giving up- take a look at how far you’ve come. Overnight success is years in the making.
