Sooo many feels!! 🥹 I grew up in Singapore and consider it as much a home as Jakarta. In fact, the language I’m most comfortable speaking is Singlish. I haven’t been back since the start of the pandemic, but last week I was able to take the kids there and I think it wld be accurate to say that when we left, we all left a huge piece of our hearts in Singapore. I got to meet @hellolaurenho, who I’ve only interacted with online this whole time, and not only did we hit it off beautifully, but our kids loved each other too and declared each other best friends by the end of the day. Already planning our family getaway now... 😂 I was able to sign my books at @kinokuniyasg, the bookstore of my teen years (srsly spent almost every weekend at Kino, browsing endlessly) and was blown away by the number of copies they have of everything! 🥹 My mom took about a thousand pics of me signing the books. She used to be like, “OMG are you done yet!!!” bc like I said I would spend hours at Kino while she went shopping. 🤣 she didn’t hurry me while I was signing though, lol. I can’t describe how rejuvenated my heart feels to be able to go back to Singapore after all this time. Here’s to many more trips to this magical island city. 🥰
