I moved to New York five years ago, yesterday. It's one of my favorite days to celebrate but this celebration feels a little different. I'm currently in a mental transitional space and I feel it all over my body as well. I know something positive will come out of it, but right now it's incredibly uncomfortable. And yet that's where New York comes in. It greeted me when I had three suitcases and a dream. It introduced me to a new world when I decided to be self-employed. It comforted me during the hardest year of my life in 2020. It welcomed me back when I signed the lease to my first solo apartment. And it's still here, patiently waiting for my next chapter. For that, I'm thankful 💕
