What a night! Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate “AFRICA ft. Culture” a song that had chosen me many years ago! It’s so surreal to know that it’s been 15 years since I dropped the song.. and let this be known, no record label thought it had any promise at the time, the same song and version that became 4 times platinum in Canada and sold millions around the world, created a lifetime of opportunity and most of all the ability to support my family, was slept on. 🤷🏻‍♂️😴 This is the reason I believe in the DIY concept because I wouldn’t have had anything if I didn’t literally put all I had on the line, borrowed money I didn’t have, and put together the future I always envisioned! Of course today I am so lucky and proud of my team who’ve been there through thick and thin @pascalmalkoun @karyzmaagency @onerpm ! The main take-away here is that I am living proof that everyone needs to be their own fire-starter!
