Thought I’d use this opportunity to introduce myself a little bit: Hi! My name is Viola. I am 26 yo and I am a professional makeup artist. I currently live year-round on Nantucket island. It honestly feels like living in 2 different places because the contrast between summer and winter is unbelievable - it gets really quiet in the off-season! I came to Nantucket back in 2015 all the way from Kaliningrad, Russia. After working a couple of seasons on island I decided to move here after graduation. I always loved everything skincare and makeup related🫶🏻. I’d get so excited about new products but I was not sure how to use them properly and I wanted to fix it. I ended up applying to a beauty school in 2018, in my hometown. To this day, I truly adore my colleagues from Russia and I am so happy I got a chance to learn from them. I loved making people happy and seeing their eyes light up every time they looked in the mirror. After working in retail and restaurant industry for a while I knew I wanted to be more present in a beauty community. That’s why what started as a hobby and a part-time job, has now turned into my very own business.. ..and I’m so excited about that! ♡ I am beyond grateful I get to do what I love and meet all the wonderful people at the same time.
