I worked on this formula for over a year, because I felt that most matte lipsticks have that dry, cracked look to them (especially the long wear formulas!) and the matte finish can look dull and unappealing. But I do love the matte look, and our customers have been asking for it. After tweaking the formula over and over, we decided to infuse it with tiny amount of microscopic shimmer pigments, so the color appears matte, but not flat. The results are amazing!
