Hi team! I am definitely due for a refreshed introduction, given that I haven’t done one since I started this page back in 2022. So hello to all the new faces here and hello again to all my day ones 😁 My name is Josie, my friends and family call me Jo, Jos, Josie Posie, the list goes on... I grew up going to an annual family reunion with my entire extended family where we eat Italian American classics, drink lots of wine, boat, tan, swim, water ski, tube, pick blueberries, and make Reese’s s’mores while telling stories around the bonfire. This trip is cherished and loved by all those who come and has become one of my favorite celebrations of food. Eating all of our Italian American family favorites coupled with European travels throughout the years sparked my interest in learning where my Italian heritage began. Of course, my top interest quickly became eating and trying all of the incredible food. Fast forward to today, I am still learning about true Italian cooking and incorporate the ideologies and techniques into my recipes as much as possible. This page started as a passion project for my love of cooking & baking with Trader Joe’s grocery hauls and weekend bake projects. I can’t even imagine what younger Josie would say if I could tell her about how big this platform has grown and how many incredible people I’ve met along the way.
