The visuals seen above are inspired by the real experiences of @dorian.who The Iran-born, Toronto-based designer finds herself experiencing various difficulties when travelling; especially when carrying her Iranian passport. During her creative process over the past several years, Dorian has experienced Visa rejection, confrontational and prejudiced border questioning and an overall feeling of unwelcomeness that has inspired her to touch on these themes within her work. Within this fashion film, Dorian has now taken the power into her own hands as she portrays the role of a border patrol officer. After years of frustration and resentment towards the border and travel in general, this piece speaks for herself, and many other Iranians, in hopes that they understand that they are not alone. . .
