Each summer for the past five years, the Vogue team gives a major push through the holiday season to produce the mighty September Issue. Ever since I was a young woman, I’ve always loved reading this edition, long before I knew I would be writing for Vogue, yet alone directing its features. The human stories behind the clothes fascinate me, and every month @mrarnaut pushes us to dive deeper, inspiring us to stay curious, be bold, and strive for excellence. For this September Issue, I especially enjoyed working with former CNN news anchor Hala Gorani, who penned our cover story with Sharon Stone. Between our respective travels, we would hop on calls to discuss the direction of the interview and share ideas, agreeing that no-holds-barred was the only way forward.
