it was never about winning. @loosecattleband was thrilled just to be included in these lists of our friends and heroes. Big hugs and congratulations to @sweetcrudeband and @folkrockdiva for their absolutely deserved recognition from the @offbeatmagazine voters. And thank you everyone who came up and told us they voted for us the past few days. That meant as much as anything. And feeling a part of this ever evolving New Orleans music scene, especially our vaguely defined but definitively inclusive local Americana scene . I saw some faces tonight that make it seem like there’s a lot of new and diverse musical blood joining the masters we all know and love down here, and that bodes well for everybody. Hanging with my band mates and hearing our name read out was award enough. And the special prize was getting an intimate show in a small room from @mclain8566 and @ccadcockcrows thanks @offbeatmagazine for supporting and celebrating New Orleans and Louisiana music and musicians and for counting us in that number.
