“Who loves the sun?” 48 x 36 mixed media painting and collage on unstretched canvas. I had a lot of fun with this one. I’ll hold onto it for a bit because it might be one of my most personal pieces in a while. I never paint about feelings other than my own so painting about something that i share with someone else is pretty cathartic. I was cheesin n gushin (ewww feelings) while making this painting, sometimes it’s fun to paint about other people while having the main idea being also related to your main subject matter. I paint about the intricacies of life in relation to the fantastical reminding myself not to stay too close to reality when i work is important.
