Yesterday my Grandma Edith went to heaven, my grandmother came to this country with my dad and aunt with a dream for a better life, and was insistent on maintaining a level of glamour in her and her family’s life. She is the reason I ever believed in myself to do what I do now, and everyday I am so grateful to carry out her American dream. Yesterday, serendipitously, I got to work with an icon of mine, and I was so moved that I had her write “Heaven” so that I can later tattoo it on my body to remember this achievement. Not an hour after she wrote Heaven I found out about my Grandma and smiled knowing she was with me all day, holding my hand and making sure I knew she was ready for Heaven. I love you grandma, thank you ❤️🕊️
