Please welcome Kelly Lagaras from @kellylagaras Hi! I’m Kelly! I am an artist residing in Crofton, Maryland with my loving husband. My artist journey started 10 years ago when I picked up a paint brush during my summer off from teaching, and I have never looked back. As an acrylic painter, I am inspired by pattern, design, color, and light. My journey the last few years has not only been a creative awakening, but a deeper understanding that I am God’s beloved. Through painting, I have gained the freedom to cultivate beauty which has long been my desire. In my recent collection “Come to the Table,” a series of bright colored table scapes, my desire was to narrate a story of two friends enjoying a beautiful table, good food, friendship! This creative point of view corresponds to God’s invitation to “Come to the Table,” in light of Psalm 23, a psalm of complete abundance and rest. It is my hope that this collection encourages the viewer to consider God’s loving invitation to have seat at His Table.
