Strong movements are built on community, commitment, trust, and activism, and when we all work together to bring about change, we rise together. New piece in honor of Women's Equality Day, for @sephora 💪❤️💪💚💪💜 This day marks the anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment in 1920, which gave some women, mostly white women, the right to vote in the U.S. It would take many more decades of activism for that right to be extended to all women in the U.S (although it continues to be made more difficult for marginalized communities). We've come a long way in 100 years, but we have much further to go. It feels like we're being pulled backwards and sideways lately, and that has been disheartening. My frustration is thankfully also serving as a call to action: to vote, to rally, to advocate for those who need support.
