Three years ago I stumbled across a photo in a book of someone galloping next to a giraffe across a floodplain. I couldn’t believe it was real. The little caption said Okavango Delta, Botswana which also happens to be the exact opposite side of the globe from my home in Hawaii. So I filed it away in my notebook as a dream experience. Yet I never forgot that image and when we heard about the first ride happening out there in 18 months I knew I had to go. Indescribable fun☺️ I think my face says it all - including the “oh damn I probably should NOT be holding a brand new camera in my hand right now” moment😂 Amazingly captured by @samkolder who was also riding his own horse and keeping me in frame.
