It’s @thomkienbaum’s birthday. 🥳 My partner, Thomas, isn’t really on Instagram, but he has immeasurably changed my life for the better—and I’m far from the only person whose life and heart he has touched. Please join me in wishing Thomas the happiest day. He isn’t the kind of person who seeks attention, but he deserves to be celebrated every day, and I feel extraordinarily fortunate to have him in my life. I feel so lucky we were able to celebrate early in France last week. Being long distance means finding creative ways to make milestone events special whether or not you can be together in person. But it also means you never take a second you get to share in person or virtually for granted. Gratitude is one of the greatest gifts life can give you because it changes the way you navigate all your relationships and grounds you; it makes you never lose sight of the value of people and the extraordinary present giving someone your, well, present is.
