EASY COCKTAIL SAUCE š¦ Every year at about this time I overhear people complain thereās no seafood / cocktail sauce left on the shelf! It makes me so sad as itās so easy to make yourself and you pay sooooo much for good quality prawns and seafood, there is no need to ruin it by pairing it with average cocktail sauce. (Yes of course a squeeze of lemon and salt is also perfect accompaniment with seafood!)
This recipe is super easy and made with things you probably already have at home, some real egg mayo is best with tomato sauce (Iām sorry donāt go fancy with tomato pureĢe there is no need, ketchup gives sweetness and acidity) and a good splash of Worcestershire sauce. Of course for a spicy kick some Tabasco or Sriracha is always welcome! Play around with the quantities as every brand of sauce will taste slightly different but here is a basic ratio...
1 cup whole egg mayo
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Optional add ins: Tabasco, lemon, sriracha
Serve this sauce with a seafood platter, prawn cocktail, prawn and avo rolls or some crispy fish and chips! You need this in your life this summer. Itās something you will whip together time and time again and never buy again!
