I would not be exaggerating by saying that Dial A for Aunties would not exist without The Unhoneymooners. The late 90s and early 2000s were spent binge-watching romcoms, and it’s been a while since I’ve read or watched anything that captured the heart pounding joy that these stories brought me. Enter The Unhoneymooners by @christinalauren. This book. You guys, it completely knocked me off my feet. It was as hilarious as it was romantic, and I was so swept away by it that I was like, “I NEED TO WRITE SOMETHING THIS JOYFUL!!” I spent the next six months binge reading all of Christina Lauren’s books. Literally all of them. I felt that I had to learn more about the genre and they are masters at it. After I gobbled up all of their books, I finally decided that ok, I think I can start writing my murdery romcom now. And that was how I wrote Dial A. So to have an in-person event with Lauren of Christina Lauren??!! At the freaking GROVE?! 🤯🤯🤯 I am just! 🥹 Hands down biggest moment ever!
