When I first started with fitness, I used to go to the gym for a better shape. My agency asked for certain sizes, and since my mom loves to cook and I loved to snack (muffins, sausage rolls, pasta) burning extra calories seemed the best option.
For periods this would work. But only to focus on the outside, made working out also a burden and a must. Something in which I would ‘fail’ when I didn’t reach my measurements.
Now things are so different. I go to the gym because I realized it makes me feel so much better: more energy, a clear mind, a strong body and feeling healthy. It’s not a must anymore, so when I choose not to go it’s also fine.
And interesting thing is that as soon as I had this ‘new’ mindset, I achieved my best results. Can you relate? 🙃
