I've been slowly recovering from The Vid, which I think I caught whilst in London last week, celebrating my birthday. Not the best birthday gift I've ever had, but now thankfully on the mend.... 🎂 🤕 I haven't had time to thank you for the kind wishes about Devorgilla Days, finally appearing in paperback. What a 'journey' it's been (sorry hate that word, but Covid Fog is addling my noodle). The irony of bringing a book out about the challenges of life, during one of the most challenging periods we have ever faced isn't lost on me. Bookshops closed, publishers furloughed, trade fairs abandoned, journalists absent, any author published in this period has had it tough. Devorgilla Days has done well, but might have done better. Should you know of anyone who might review DD for a newspaper, for example, or buy foreign rights, or put it in front of a TV Exec, or book me for literary festivals (Miami would be nice 😜) please let me know.
