What should I expect after a PCA chemical peel? A lot of patients are reluctant of chemical peels when I recommend them for their skin concerns. Often, they associate a chemical peel with a full fledge snake peel and tent to stray away. PCA chemical peels are my favorite “non-peely” peels that treat a number of skin concerns; acne flares, uneven texture, signs of aging and superficial pigmentation. Peeling is typically minimal and offers little downtime depending on the patients skin type and amount of passes of each peel. ✨Day of peel application, skin may feel tight and has mild to moderate redness depending on the skins resilience. ✨Day 2-3 the skin may still feel tight and the lower face may begin to have some flaking. ✨Day 4-5 my skin will ALWAYS peel, due to my sensitive skin type.
